Keystone Awards Scheme
Who is it for?
Involvement in the Keystone Awards is entirely voluntary and open to all young people aged from school year 8 (age 11/12). There is no upper age limit
What is it all about?
The Keystone Awards encourages the personal and personal development of young people. The scheme has been developed to recognise and acknowledge the skills, competencies and qualities developed by young people in a youth work context.
The award will focus on: -
v Opportunities and Challenge
v Participation and Commitment
v Attitudes and Behaviour
v Responsibility and Respect
There are four tiers to the Award: -
v Bronze
v Silver
v Gold
v Platinum
Tasks are completed for each award, which will completed on their own and working as part of a group.
What does your club need to do?
Provide a project worker or volunteer to act as the ‘Award Leader’. The Award Leader will ensure the young people are supported and supervised throughout. Award leaders are also responsible for appointing the appropriate personal required to assist the young people in the achievement of their awards.
